PCCF – Mathys Jaubert: a Junior PCCF winner as a rookie at Le Mans

Win as a PCCF Junior on the circuit 24 Hours of Le Mans, what sensations does it give?

This is exceptional ! This success is a real satisfaction for me. Especially since the start of the weekend was not easy. In FP1, I blew my right front tire so I couldn't drive much. This Friday in qualifying, I placed eighth which is a good place. I wanted not to make any mistakes and that's what I succeeded! 

There was a big fight between Louis Perrot (IMSA LS Group Performance), Dennis Hauger (Porsche Experience Racing) and you. It looked hot from the outside, tell us about it from the inside?

It was very, very tight. We touched with Louis at more than 280 km/h! Dennis made a mistake under yellow flag and I managed to take advantage of it. 

At the end of the race, you were alone with victory awaiting you. Was the time long?

I stayed 100% focused on being clean. My engineer kept telling me this. In the end, I won and scored very important points since they count double this weekend.
