  • The rain decided to disrupt the first day at Monza. When getting ready to start the session, drivers and teams had the unpleasant surprise of seeing a deluge hit the Italian track. While almost the entire paddock had worn slicks, the mechanics had to change the tires in the pit lane before the start of the session.
  • In addition to the weather, FP2 was disrupted by two red flags. A first mid-session after the exit of Gilles Colombani (Team Clairet Sport) at turn eleven. The second came a few minutes after the restart but ended the session prematurely. Louis Rousset (CLRT) was trapped in the same portion as his counterpart.
  • This did not prevent Alessandro Ghiretti from setting the best time. On the land of his rookie crown in the Supercup, the Martinet by Alméras driver achieved his fastest lap in 2'04″070. Second, and best rookie, Benjamin Paque (CLRT) is relegated more than a tenth and a half.
  • The TFT Racing drivers are back in the game. The double reigning champion, Marvin Klein, is third just ahead of the 2023 Junior PCCF, Mathys Jaubert. Dorian Boccolacci (CLRT) finished fifth but lost more than a second to the leader.
  • In Pro-Am, Marc Guillot is always comfortable in these conditions. The Herrero Racing driver sets the ninth overall time and the best in his category. However, Jérôme Boullery is not far away. The Racing Technology resident is tenth, just behind his championship rival. Frédéric Ancel (Porsche Lorient Racing) is in third place.
  • Like the first free session, Ludovic Loeul (Porsche Lorient Racing) retains the reins of the Am category. Karim Ajlani (ABM) and Alexandre Leroy (TFT Racing), second and third respectively, are more than half a -second behind. The championship leader, Sébastien Poisson (ABM) is even further behind.
