PCCF – Mugello: Jaubert wins again and delays Ghiretti’s coronation

  • The second race of the weekend started under safety car conditions due to the track conditions. Less than an hour before the start, thick fog covered the Mugello circuit. After a first lap behind the safety car, Mathys Jaubert set the pace to drop the pack. At the first braking point, Paul Cauhaupé (CLRT Schumacher) locked his wheels and hit Louis Perrot (CLRT Schumacher) for the first time. At the next corner, while trying to stay on the inside, the Junior PCCF 2024 hit the former simracer who ended his race in the gravel trap. A very bad operation in view of third place in the general classification.
  • At the restart, Alessandro Ghiretti (Schumacher CLRT) quickly got rid of Marcus Amand (Schumacher CLRT) to find himself in the wake of the leader. Except on the last lap, the Schumacher CLRT driver never managed to attack his direct rival in the championship.
  • Mathys Jaubert (Martinet by Alméras) wins a second race in a row and keeps a slim hope of winning the title. Alessandro Ghiretti finishes second again. Marcus Amand takes third place. Victor Bernier (Martinet by Alméras) and Benjamin Paque (TFT Racing) find their way back into the top-5. The Belgian did not give in to the pressure put on by Florian Latorre (ABM).
  • Marcus Amand triumphs for a fourth time in a row among the rookies. Victor Bernier and Paul Cauhaupé, despite his collision, climb onto the podium.
  • Marc Guillot also has another success. The ABM driver is in a very positive period. Jérôme Boullery (Racing Technology) finished in a solid second position. Sébastien Poisson (ABM) finished on the podium. Cyril Caillo (Racing Technology) continues to win in Am! By less than two tenths, Jordan Boisson (TFT Racing) came close to his first victory in the championship. Eric Debard (Debard Automobiles by Racetivity) is third.
