Puig wants both titles

A few days before the end of the 2009 season, Jaime Puig knows that his team is in a good position to win the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles for the second time in a row. The Seat Leon TDI will, however, have to be wary of the BMW 320si and Chevrolet Cruze. The Golden Cross brand even won both rounds last season.

« We've never won in Macau, so it's a great opportunity to do it for the first time », declared the team director. “ In a championship as close as this, with ten cars in the same second, winning a title would be a great achievement in itself. But the team will do everything to win both and, given the rule changes that have taken place during the year, it would be an absolutely fantastic result. »

As we approach the final round of the WTCC season in Macau, the two Seat drivers, Gabriele Tarquini and Yvan Muller, are leading the championship with 115 and 113 points respectively. On the Manufacturers' side, the Spanish manufacturer also leads BMW for three small units.
