After reaching the long-awaited mark of ten victories yesterday for the first race of TCR China in Macau, Rob Huff (MG 6 XPower) once again showed that he was indeed the king of the casino city with new success this Sunday.
Like yesterday, the Briton lost the advantage at the start against the new TCR China champion Ma Qing Hua (Lynk&Co 03), but this time he was unable to regain his advantage at the end of the immense straight leading to the Lisboa bend.
It was at Mandarin on the second lap that Huff attacked, but contact between the two leaders sent Ma Qing Hua into the barriers, causing a red flag and an interruption of almost 40 minutes.
After the restart, Huff retained the advantage over Zhang Zhi (Lynk&Co 03), while the race was once again placed under red flag conditions for the incident involving Yang Xi (Audi RS 3 LMS) still near the Mandarin.
An incident which forced the race management to prematurely end the debates after 6 of the 12 laps scheduled, with Huff winning ahead of Zhang Zhi and Andy Yan (MG 6 XPower).
