TCR – Hugo Valente bounces back at Craft-Bamboo Racing

Hugo Valente will continue its commitment to the tourism category in 2017, but will switch between the two major series WTCC and TCR Series. Lada driver in 2016 in the World Championship, the Ile-de-France native will compete this year in the TCR International Series at the wheel of one of Craft-Bamboo Racing’s three Seat Leóns, alongside James Nash and Pepe Oriola.

Valente will thus return to a brand whose interests he had defended during his first steps in the discipline, after a first career in car. The 24-year-old driver had driven the Spanish firm's cars, both on the French Supercopa scene and in the WTCC within the Sunred Engineering and Campos Racing structures between 2012 and 2013 in the World Cup.

“I am very excited for this new challenge, comments Valente. For me, it was important to get back to the front, because I wanted to be able to fight for podiums and victory at each meeting.

I've seen the way Craft-Bamboo Racing works, and for me, this may be the best opportunity I've received in the last two years. »

Author of three podiums in 2015 with the Chevrolet Cruze Campos Racing, Hugo Valente concluded the 2016 WTCC season without finding the top 3, with two fourth places in Morocco and in Russia on the land of his employer who had decided to stop his involvement in the series at the end of the year.
