TCR – Jean-Karl Vernay wins in Singapore

The Singapore weekend continues without a false note for Jean Karl Vernay. After more than successful free practice, the driver of the Leopard Racing Volkswagen Golf GTI took full advantage of his preferential position on the starting grid following his pole position, to take the lead at the first corner of the Marina Bay Circuit.

The former winner of the 2010 Indy Lights championship subsequently controlled the entirety of the first race and won with a comfortable margin over his teammate Stefano Comini, author of an excellent start which had propelled him into second position from the first meters of the round.

Behind the Leopard Racing double, Pepe Oriola hoisted his Craft-Bamboo Racing SEAT Leon onto the podium after threatening Comini for second place. Mat'O Homola (SEAT Leon – B3 Racing), second on the grid after the multiple penalties imposed on several competitors after qualifying, concluded the event in fourth position ahead of the SEAT Craft-Bamboo of James Nash.
