TCR – The BoP established in Valencia

Testing in Valencia last week, the main eligible car models were calibrated by Nicola Larini to determine the balance of performance (BoP). Two weeks before the opening round in Bahrain, the list of favorites for the second season is becoming clearer. In addition to the already confirmed Leopard Racing drivers Stefano Comini and Jean-Karl Vernay on the VW Golf Gti, the Swiss runner-up, the Spaniard Pepe Oriola, finally chose to stay with Craft-Bamboo, like the Russian Afanasyev, both being joined by Englishman James Nash to drive the Seat Leons.

Jordi Oriola, Pepe's younger brother, has been confirmed as one of the drivers of the new Opel Astras entered by Target Competition. As for West Coast Racing, which will field three Honda Civic Spec 2s in 2016 version, Gianni Morbidelli and Kevin Leason are leaving and will have a new teammate with the Finn Aku Pellinen, champion of the European Abarth 500 trophy.Alfa Romeo Giulietta prepared by Romeo Ferraris was tested by Michela Cerrutti, the new Ford Focus was not present, rebuilt in its American base in Colorado by FRD, the Hong Kong structure of Kenneth Ma, and which should debut at Monza.

As for the Hungarian B3 Racing Team, it was hard at work in Valencia with its three Leons for the outgoing ETCC champion, the Serbian Dusan Borkovic, the Slovakian Mato Homola and the 16-year-old Hungarian Attila Tassi.
