TCR – Peugeot starts slowly at Spa

Aku Pellinen (Honda) won Race 1 of the TCR International Series at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium). The Finn reached the finish line three tenths ahead of Pepe Oriola (Seat), while Dusan Borkovic (Seat) completed the podium. Mat'o Homola (Seat) and Gianni Morbidelli (Honda) finished in the top five.

The Peugeot 308 of Sébastien Loeb Racing made a discreet debut in the discipline, Grégory Guilvert only taking 12th place ahead of his teammate Jimmy Clairet. The Sochaux cars are handicapped on the Sarthe circuit by their 1.6l engines which compete with the 2.0l. The French cars still finished ahead of the Volkswagen Golf of Jean-Karl Vernay.
