TCR – Roberto Colciago brilliant at Monza

Roberto Colciago (Honda) is the main winner of the TCR International Series weekend at Monza. The M1RA Motorsport driver scored his second victory of the season after Bahrain at the end of Race 1 where his team achieved a double with second place taken by Attila Tassi. Pepe Oriola (Seat) completed the podium ahead of Championship leader Jean-Karl Vernay (Volkswagen), while Hugo Valente (Seat) arrived in 6th place behind Frédéric Vervisch (Audi).

The Italian almost reproduced his feat in Race 2. After the poleman retired, victim of contact at the first chicane with Jean-Karl Vernay, Roberto Colciago moved up the positions to place himself in the exhausts of Stefano Comini (Audi). The Swiss resisted until the checkered flag. Frédéric Vervisch completed the podium ahead of James Nash (Seat) and the Frenchman from Leopard Racing Team WRT who is under investigation following his collision at the start.
