TCR – Stefano Comini bounces back with Comtoyou Racing

Stefano Comini will have the opportunity to aim for a third consecutive title in the TCR International Series by entering with Comtoyou Racing in an Audi RS 3 LMS. The 3-year-old Swiss won his first title in 27 at the wheel of a Seat Leon Cup Racer in Target Competition before winning the following year in a Volkswagen Golf GTI from Leopard Racing.

“After learning that I would not be able to continue the collaboration with my team from last year, I received several proposals, including that of Comtoyou Racing… Jean-Michel Baert, the team boss, joined the services of François Verbist, whom I know very well having worked closely with him in 2016”, commented Stefano Comini.

The team from Waterloo (Belgium) will only have a few days to complete its preparation, with the first event of the season taking place on the weekend of April 2 in Georgia.

“I know all his human and professional qualities and I was immediately convinced that this was the best option for me. This program having been completed at the last minute, we will arrive in Georgia with very little preparation. But the objective will be to score points for the championship. We usually say two without three and I must admit that a third crown, with a third different brand, makes me dream! », added the two-time TCR International Series champion.
