This is the end of a ten-year long collaboration between Timo Glock and BMW. At Mugello, the forty-year-old German competed in his last race with the propeller-driven firm during the final of the Italian GT championship.

“We thank Timo Glock for the fantastic collaboration over the past ten years, said Andreas Roos, head of BMW M Motorsport. We can look back on many shared moments of success and emotion, particularly during our involvement in the DTM through 2020. Timo impressed with some great wins in this series, most notably against Gary Paffett at Hockenheim in 2018. His talent and personality made him an absolute crowd favorite, and he was a dominant face of the brand at Lboth on and off the track. We wish Timo all the best and much success in the future! »

This season, Glock drove alongside Jens Klingmann (GER) in a BMW M4 GT3 for the BMW Italia Ceccato Racing team in the Italian GT Championship's Sprint Cup. Glock and Klingmann finished the penultimate race on Saturday in second position. On Sunday, they had to retire shortly before the end of the race, meaning they finished the season in second place in the overall Sprint Cup standings.
