Andy Priaulx leaves Cyan Racing

Andy Priaulx will no longer be part of the Cyan Racing team from the 2020 season. The 45-year-old Briton will only have defended the colors of Lynk & Co for one year, finishing in 18th place in the Drivers' standings. Thed Björk's teammate preferred to put his career on hold to concentrate on that of his son, who is also involved in motorsport.

“It was a difficult decision, a heartbreak, recognized Andy Priaulx. Sometimes I had to make a decision to pursue success outside of competition, by helping my son Sebastian with his commitments in the USA. I didn't want to be in a position where I wasn't able to be fully engaged with Cyan Racing. »

“I need a lot of time to take care of Sebastian's career, the time my father took to develop my career. The situation with the coronavirus pandemic and Sebastian’s program in the USA made the situation impossible”, he said.

Cyan Racing has now confirmed three drivers with Thed Björk partnering Yann Ehrlacher and Yvan Muller. Christian Dahl's team will have to announce one last driver to complete its crew before the start of the season scheduled for the weekend of September 13 at the Salzburgring in Austria.
