The Lynk & Co Cyan Racing crew will look great in 2019. After the announcement of Yvan Muller and Thed Björk, it is the turn of Andy Priaulx to be confirmed within the Chinese manufacturer's squad who will compete in the WTCR for the first time next year.
Andy Priaulx is far from unknown in Tourism, having won three WTCC world titles from 2005 to 2007 with BMW Team UK. The 44-year-old Briton recently played in WEC with Ford before signing a multi-year contract with Lynk & Co.
“I am sure we will be able to challenge for the title in our first season, confirmed the new recruit. We will have a lot of work ahead of us as the competition has never been tougher in WTCR, but the decision to join them was an obvious one after following Cyan Racing's progress over the last few years. »
Lynk & Co Cyan Racing will count in its ranks a total of 8 world titles to drive its 03 TCRs.
“Andy is a true touring car legend and his records speak for him. His experience and speed will be essential for us”, added Christian Dahl, director of Cyan Racing.
