Thed Björk won WTCR Race 3 at Zandvoort after seeing teammate Yann Ehrlacher forced to relinquish his lead.

Björk wins again at Zandvoort

Thed Björk won his second WTCR race of the weekend at Zandvoort (Netherlands), his third of the season, while Yann Ehrlacher secured the double for Lynk & Co. The tension was nevertheless palpable within Cyan Racing , the poleman having had to give up his leading position to the Swede. Yvan Muller's nephew missed his start and knocked down the Scandinavian, but the Frenchman managed to regain his due when the team instructions were to his advantage.

Yann Erhlacher notably complained to his team about not having benefited from the same mechanical advantages as his teammate when the lights went out.

Yvan Muller (Lynk & Co) retained his 5th position after starting from the same position following his penalty. The four-time WTCC champion beat Mikel Azcona (Cupra) and Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen). Esteban Guerrieri (Honda) took the points for 8th place and leaves Zandvoort with an 11-point lead over Thed Björk.

Gabriele Tarquini (Hyundai) and Rob Huff (Volkswagen) completed the Top 10 ahead of Nicky Ctasburg (Hyundai) and Aurélien Panis (Cupra). Jean-Karl Vernay (Audi) and Benjamin Leuchter (Volkswagen) retired due to mechanical problems.
