C3 – Alsatian double in Ningbo, Muller winner ahead of Ehrlacher

Present for the third time in as many races on the podium in China, Yvan Muller is completely back in the general classification. Yann Ehrlacher and Gabriele Tarquini complete the podium.

C3 – Alsatian double in Ningbo, Muller winner ahead of Ehrlacher

What a weekend! Yvan Muller (Lynk & Co) could not have done better on the Chinese brand's grounds in Ningbo. After a success in Race 1 and a third position in Race 2, the Frenchman concluded with another victory this Sunday, September 15.

The Alsatian, who started from pole position, is completely back in the general classification. By signing 76 points in two days (new record in a single meeting), the experienced driver is just 17 points behind leader Norbert Michelisz (Hyundai). The other reason for satisfaction in the Cyan Racing team is Yann Ehrlacher's second place. Yvan Muller's nephew played the team race perfectly and covered the attacks of the rogues Gabriele Tarquini (Hyundai, 3rd) and Augusto Farfus (Hyundai, 4th).

The French triumph could have been completed by Aurélien Panis (Cupra), but the Comtoyou Racing driver suffered virile attacks from the Hyundai clan. The son of Olivier Panis finished in sixth place.

Like the other two races in Ningbo, there were numerous collisions. 10 cars withdrew, including Frenchman Jean-Karl Vernay (Audi), Mikel Azcona (Cupra) and especially the former general leader, Esteban Guerrieri (Honda). Mehdi Bennani (Volkswagen) was also sanctioned for an accident with Tiago Monteiro (Honda).
