Cyan Racing returns in 2019 with Björk

The Swede will continue his presence in WTCR and will return to Cyan Racing, this time with a new Asian car.

Le Cyan racing will only have remained absent from world tourism for one year. WTCC champion with Thed Björk in 2017, the Swedish team will be back with its star driver in 2019, this time in the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR), in accordance with what we announced in AUTOhebdo n °2187 (on sale in digital version).

Thed Bjork will not be launched aboard a Volvo (as was the case in 2016 and 2017) nor a Hyundai (currently with Yvan Muller Racing), but will release a Chinese model, the Lynk & Co 03, unveiled with great fanfare in Fuji (Japan) this Friday.

“The production car is an excellent basis for the racing car, explained Thed Björk during the conference. My goal is to become champion with Cyan Racing and Lynk & Co.”

Belonging to the Geely group (like Volvo), Lynn & Co is entering competition for the first time. Only the identity of the first pilot has been made official.
