Negotiating the Guia circuit in the streets of Macau is never an easy exercise. Esteban Guerrieri (Honda) experienced this during the second qualifying session for the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR), Friday 15 November.
The Argentinean leader of the general classification was found guilty of blocking and zigzagging towards Nicky Catsburg (Hyundai) before the Mandarin bend, one of the fastest sections of the 6,2 km route.
As a result, the commissioners decided to demote him four places on the starting grid for Race 2 (departure Saturday at 7:30 a.m.). This benefits the Alsatian Yann Ehrlacher (Lynk & Co) initially second thanks to the principle of the reverse grid.

The Cyan Racing driver will therefore start from pole, ahead of Thed Björk (Lynk & Co) and Kevin Ceccon (Alfa Romeo).
