Kevin Ceccon replaces Morbidelli at Alfa Romeo

Kevin Ceccon will arrive in WTCR taking the place of Gianni Morbidelli within Team Mulsanne which enters Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The 24-year-old Italian returns to GT touring cars after competing in the Blancpain GT Series last year following training in car.

2011 Auto GP champion, Kevin Ceccon played for several seasons in the GP2 and GP3 Series pelotons before moving to ELMS with Murphy Prototypes.

“I would like to thank Romeo Ferraris and Team Mulsanne for their call. I didn't expect to have this chance in 2018 as it has been very light on the sporting side for me so far this year, comments the new recruit. It’s a dream come true to join the WTCR grid. I used to watch all the races on Eurosport and even commented on one. »

Kevin Ceccon will discover his mount this weekend at the Slovakiaring which counts for the sixth round of the calendar. His teammate Fabrizio Giovinardi will play like his new teammate for the first time on the Slovak circuit. Team Mulsanne remains the only team not to have scored a point this year.
