Nestor Girolami on pole at the Nürburgring

We take the same and start again. Each winner of a race during the first meeting at Zolder, Nestor Girolami and Yann Ehrlacher will start one behind the other during race 1 on Friday at the Nürburgring. The Honda driver took pole in 1'51"802, or 1"182 ahead of the Frenchman from Cyan Racing.

Yan Ehrlacher was unable to complete a second flying round, unlike his opponents. Everything happened down to the minute.

At the start of qualifying, same strategy as in free practice: the Lynk & co started in front among the favorites. Yann Ehrlacher managed to set the best time in 8'52''965. He was followed by Nestor Girolami at seven tenths and Andrea Tassi at one and a half seconds. The Hungarian had, as in practice, chosen to leave last.

Speaking of similarity, Jack Young also wanted to imitate his performance in the trials. But it's less glorious. The young Englishman is still finishing his session in the gravel with his Mégane. As a result, the other drivers had to wait a good quarter of an hour for the tractor to free the car. The yellow flag prevented any improvement to the point of wondering if the session would really resume.

Six minutes from the end, the green flag returned and everyone was able to come out, except Ehrlacher. Behind the two strong men, we find Attila Tassi and his Honda at 2”283. The other French Jean-Karl Vernay (Alfa Romeo Team Mulsanne), Nathanael Berthon (Audi Comtoyou) and Yvan Müller (Lynk & Co Cyan Racing) follow each other in 9th, 10th and 11th place.

Gilles Magnus suffered a mechanical problem and was unable to really defend his chances.
