ETCR – Cupra signs another hat-trick

The stat is quite obvious, but in three races contested in 2022, the Cupra Racing team has won three times. Without insulting the competition, it seems that the Spanish-Scandinavian structure has found the right team to dominate the FIA ETCR head and shoulders despite solid opposition.

Whether in qualifying, in the quarter-final or in the semi-final, the Cupra drivers were always at the top of the standings during this hot weekend in Madrid. In the group Furious, Mattias Ekström showed himself to be uncompromising, winning on each of his outings. In the Fast group, Adrien Tambay had to share the laurels with Jordi Gené. Faced with this domination, the other competitors were content with the crumbs left by the Cupra boys.
