Tom Blomqvist and Adrien Tambay with Cupra EKS

Tom Blomqvist and Adrien Tambay join outgoing ETCR champion Mattias Ekström and Jordi Gené at Cupra EKS for the 2022 season. Blomqvist is best known for his results in Endurance, including his victories at the 24 Hours of Spa (in 2018) and more recently at the 24 Hours of Daytona (in January 2022). The son of the 1984 World Rally Champion, Stig Blomqvist, also finished on the podium in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021 in LM P2 category (second).

He will be accompanied by another son of a former pilot, Adrien Tambay. The Frenchman, son of Patrick Tambay (two GP victories in Formula 1), will also discover the championship with Cupra EKS. “I can’t wait to start the season, explains the Parisian. This year, the challenge is to aim for the ETCR championship and I am here to help in this objective. My passion for racing has no limits and sharing that with a great team inspires me to give my best on the track. »
