Urrutia the strongest in the qualifiers in Aragon, Ehrlacher masters

For a beginner, Santiago Urrutia (Lynk & Co) is doing not so bad. The Uruguayan not only took his first pole position in the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) on Saturday November 14 at Motorland Aragon (Spain), but he doubled the lead a few minutes later!

The Cyan Racing driver will start at the front of Races 1 and 3 on Sunday. As if that wasn't enough, the Swedish team also took pole for Race 2 thanks to Yvan Muller's time!

Championship leader Yann Ehrlacher handled these stressful sessions perfectly. The Frenchman will start 2nd in Race 3 while his direct pursuer, Esteban Guerrieri (Honda), foundered. The Argentinian, outgoing vice-champion, will start twice from 18th place and once from 17th!

Among the other challengers, Jean-Karl Vernay (Alfa Romeo) is still giving his all, and will start 5th in Race 3. Nathanaël Berthon (Audi) is 3rd, while Aurélien Comte (Renault) only recorded the 17th time.
