WTCR - Yvan Muller returns to Hyundai

Yvan Muller will make his return to competition by participating in the WTCR with a Hyundai i30 entered by his own team. The four-time world champion welcomes reigning champion Thed Björk.

The WTCR field continues to improve in quality with each announcement. After the confirmation of Tiago Monteiro's return with Honda this morning, it was Yvan Muller who announced his return to competition.

“My goal is a little different compared to the past, comments the boss-pilot. My career is behind me and I will now focus on my team and our developments rather than my own results. »

The French team will look great, especially since a second Hyundai TCR will be entrusted to reigning champion Thed Björk who shone last year with the Swedish brand.

“I'm happy to have Thed by my side, adds Yvan Muller. He trusts me and I trust him. His skills as a pilot cannot be questioned. I know this having spent last season with him. »

The 2018 WTCR season, a meeting of the WTCC and the TCR International Series, will begin on the weekend of April 8 in Marrakech (Morocco). The organizers of the new Championship have already announced that the list of 26 entrants is complete.
