The Spaniard from Hyundai provided a solid performance during the 5th round of the season contested on the Portuguese street circuit. Santiago Urrutia (Lynk & Co) and Rob Huff (Zengö Motorsport) won both races.

Mikel Azcona raked in this weekend in grocer mode. The first race of the weekend should have fallen into the net of Yann Ehrlacher, but his Cyan racing team decided otherwise, preferring to favor his teammate Santiago Urrutia and the points for Lynk & Co. The Alsatian had nevertheless run the perfect race , starting from the first row alongside the Uruguayan pole sitter.
