Berthon plays ahead in free practice

By setting the best time in the first free practice session, Nathanaël Berthon (Audi) started his Alsatian weekend as best as possible. The Audi RS3 LMS seems to benefit from a good top speed which allows it to make the difference in the first sector. It thus rings the charge for the Audis of the Comtoyou team. Gilles Magnus sets the 4th best time in this first session, 0.240 behind his teammate. Medhi Bennani is in 6th place, 0.312 behind Clermont. Between the Audis, Norbert Michelisz and Mikel Azcona insert their Hyundai Elantra N TCR less than two tenths from Berthon. The Alsatian route is a circuit where making the difference will not be easy. Attila Tassi (Team Engstler) set the best time for the Honda Civic TCR, with Nestor Girolami and Esteban Guerrieri having to be satisfied with 9th and 10th places in the session.

But the Argentinians raised the bar in the second session of the day. Bebu Girolami ranks 5th in the second free practice session, 0.292 behind Norbert Michelisz's best time. The Hungarian is once again ahead of Azcona by 3 thousandths of a second! Berthon is 4th in this FP2 and is once again in the running on a circuit where qualifying will have a key role throughout the rest of the weekend.
