While the Green Hell was due to host the second round of the season, both races were canceled due to problems with the Goodyear tires which could well put the World Cup in jeopardy.

Competing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, one of the most difficult tracks in the world, represents a challenge for all drivers. To put them in the best conditions, no parameter must be neglected, and even less their safety. This weekend in the Eifel, the WTCR and Goodyear failed to meet expectations and the organizers had no choice but to cancel the two races scheduled for Saturday.

I am completely incomprehensible, the WTCRs entered in the 24 hours have no problem, the Hyundais even won their class with Goodyears.
