Withdrawn from the WTCR well before the end of the season, Lynk & Co will be there in the TCR World Tour.

Lynk & Co will try its luck in TCR World Tour

Lynk & Co returns to international tourism! Around 5 months after announcing its definitive withdrawal from the WTCR, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed its desire for international competition. As the Touring World Cup no longer exists, the Asian firm has decided to enter the new premier competition of the category, the TCR World Tour, under the name “Lynk & Co Cyan Racing” from 2023.

« We are delighted to continue our long-standing and successful collaboration with Lynk & Co and Geely Group Motorsport in the world of touring with the new and exciting TCR World Tour from 2023 and beyond, Fredrik Wahlén point, director of Cyan Racing. This is the highest level of touring competition and with new sporting regulations, as well as new tires compared to the WTCR, we have no doubt that the standard will be extremely high.."

Indeed, Lynk & Co's disagreement with Goodyear was one of the reasons why the Chinese manufacturer withdrew from the WTCR last August. By returning to tourism via the TCR World Tour, the brand from the Middle Kingdom will no longer have to deal with the American manufacturer since it is Kumho which will supply the tires.

As for the sportsman, Lynk & Co Cyan Racing will enter four 03 TCRs. However, no information has been revealed regarding the drivers who will represent the team.
