There were numerous incidents during this second round of El Pinar. It started on the formation lap when pole sitter Qing Hua Ma remained frozen on the starting grid. His Lynk & Co 01 having completely given up the ghost. The warm-up lap was launched and the Chinese car was pushed aside, the start was about to be given when the confusion was enormous. As the lights went out, the departure procedure was interrupted by flashing yellow lights. Oddly, the race was still started before being interrupted by the red flag. It will take many minutes before the circuit signaling is restored. When the race finally got underway, it was Brazilian driver Pedro Cardoso at the wheel of his 308 TCR who led the first laps of the race. He is quickly caught by the intractable Thed Björk. The Nordic driver takes control of the race. He takes off with the other competitors who are engaged in a hotly contested battle for the places of honor on the podium. In the end, it was Cardoso and Urrutia (who once again made his way with bumpers) who accompanied the friendly Swede on the podium.
