Yann Ehrlacher wins race 1 in Hungary

After getting the best start, Esteban Guerrieri (Münnich Motorsport), found himself neck and neck with pole sitter Michelisz at the exit of the first turn, but contact at turn 2 between the two rivals, with Gabriele Tarquini as collateral victim. (BRC Racing Team), will offer an opening to Yvan Muller's nephew who takes control of the race ahead of his teammate Guerrieri.

Falling back to fourth place, Michelisz must face Yvan Muller (Hyundai i30 N TCR – Yvan Muller Racing), but the Hungarian will have to wait until the end of the event to find the opening and get on the podium in front of his home crowd.

In the lead, Ehrlacher controlled the proceedings and won in the end with a little less than a second ahead of Guerrieri for a Münnich Motorsport double. Michelisz, Muller and Rob huff (Volkswagen Golf – Sébastien Loeb Racing) complete the top 5.

Jean-Karl Vernay (Audi RS3 – Team WRT) finished eighth, when Nathanaël Berthon (Audi RS3 – Comtoyou Racing) finished the race in 12th position. 15th and 17th places for Aurélien Panis (Comtoyou Racing) and Aurélien Comte (Peugeot 308 TCR – DG Sport Competition).

The last two races of the weekend will take place tomorrow in Hungary.
