Yvan Muller: “We’re not going to be idle in the coming weeks”

Yvan, how did your tests go at MotorLand Aragon?

Everything went really well. We didn't have a lot to change, but we really focused on the little details that needed to be improved.

What are these aspects that needed to be improved?

On the car we made some improvements. But due to the regulations, the developments are quite limited, we cannot revolutionize everything. As for the team, we have been working for several years to make Cyan a strong entity and we have really arrived at something coherent. Each driver keeps the same engineer, the data specialists have changed a little, but that's it.

Anything you particularly focused on?

We worked a lot on changing the behavior of the car with the tires. If we knew the Yokohamas by heart, we only have one season with the Goodyears and still have a lot to learn.

Doesn’t the start of the season, at the beginning of June, seem too far away?

No, because we have a very busy testing schedule. We're not going to be idle in the coming weeks. We are going to Slovakia, the Hungaroring, Italy and the Nürburgring. The season will arrive very quickly.

Is Urrutia going to be your itchy skin this season?

I hope so. Santi is truly a great driver. I'm glad I did everything I could to get him to join the team.
