If you were planning to apply for the purchase of a Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25, know that it is too late. Soon to be produced in 30 units, the 25th anniversary model of Manthey Racing has already found its future owners.
For the manufacture of this “Track-only” (reserved only for use on the circuit), Porsche based itself on the recent 935 Clubsport meeting SRO’s GT2 specifications. We therefore find the legendary 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six developing 690 hp here. All mated to a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox which sends power to the rear wheels only.
A track-only inspired by the 911 GT3 R
Apart from the mechanics, Manthey Racing brought a touch of aesthetics by taking inspiration from the 911 GT3 R that it enters in races on the Nürburgring, the famous “Grello”. We can thus see yellow and green touches on different elements of the bodywork.
Concerning the technical aspect, Manthey Racing has installed a central radiator like on its 911 GT3 R but also a new front blade topped with two “duck” fins, as well as a revised floor. Elements such as the redesigned carbon fiber front hood with two large air vents separated by a central bulkhead, as well as a NACA air intake feeding the cockpit, are further details reminiscent of the 911 GT3 R of the German team.
In the wheel arches of this 935 Clubsport with Manthey sauce, we find personalized 18-inch rims, while the cockpit does not evolve or not with the same on-board systems and steering wheel bringing together all the useful functions. Finally, Manthey tweaked the rear diffuser and swan-neck spoiler.
So many modifications which resulted in the price of this Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 being established at 525 euros… excluding taxes. Copious ? That's good, they are no longer for sale.
