“I've been looking towards GT for a few years now and our two 12 Hour campaigns at Bathurst made me realize that it was something I wanted to see within Triple Eight in the longer term, mentions Roland Dane, manager of the team.
There is no doubt that this category continues to grow and provides Triple Eight with the opportunity to expand our possibilities and gives staff members the opportunity to build their own motorsport experience, which will hopefully will only serve to improve the knowledge base for Supercars. »
Triple Eight joined forces with Scott Taylor Motorsports this year to run a Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the Bathurst 12 Hours, driven by the trio van Gisbergen – Whincup – Lowndes.
