Ultimate Cup Series Paul Ricard – Summary of Sunday’s day

Despite the three degrees Celsius and the early morning schedule, the Paul Ricard circuit saw the cars in the GT Sprint category compete from 8:30 a.m. for race 3. Marc Waechter (G2 Racing AG) won for the second time of the weekend ahead of his teammate Christian Machate (G2 Racing AG) and Philippe Colançon. The single-seaters follow with race 2, again won by Simon Gachet (Formula Motorsport).

Surprise for championship leader Konstantin Lachenauer (Graff), who only finished fourth in the race, his worst result since the start of the 2020 championship. The Swiss driver will finally finish second in race 3, won again by Simon Gachet , who scored a hat-trick this weekend.

This morning was also an opportunity to see the 38 crews entered in GT compete Endurance.

The action on the track ended with race 4 in GT Sprint, marked by the victory of Marc Waechter (G2 Racing AG), his third success this weekend at the wheel of the Renault #4. The 2021 championship will resume on March 19 on the Nogaro circuit!
