The GT World Challenge Europe is in full swing. After a year 2022 filled on all sides with 52 GT3s, the 2023 season promises to be even busier for ORS. In fact, the number of entrants has been revised upwards since there will be 56 in Endurance Cup
But it is on the Sprint Cup side where the number has grown the most with 40 GT3s expected against 25 in 2022. However, the 40 cars will not be able to compete in all of the rounds on the calendar. It is for this reason that the new “Bronze Cup” category will not be present at Brands Hatch and Zandvoort due to restrictions on the number of cars on the circuit. Thus, it will only appear at the meetings in Misano, Hockenheim and Valencia.
Regarding double entries, 29 crews are expected in both Sprint and Endurance this year. In terms of manufacturers, 8 brands appear in this first entry list, including the presence of the Honda NSX GT3 in the Sprint Cup via the Italian team Nova Race. We also find those that have been delighting GT World Challenge Europe for years like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini ou encore McLaren.
