Valentin Hasse-Clot promoted to Aston Martin junior driver

“I want nothing more thanAston Martin » Valentin Hasse-Clot told us at the end of 2020. The French pilot's stubbornness paid off.

Aston Martin officially promoted him as a junior driver, following in the footsteps of Ross Gunn and Johny Adam. He is the first non-British to achieve the status, the result of an excellent 2020 season.

Winner last year of the silver title in GT4 Europe with Théo Nouet, the 24-year-old Parisian also won a race in GT World Challenge Europe with the Aston Martin of Garage 59, with whom he competed the entire season.

Hasse-Clot's results allowed him to stand out in front of a jury comprising the winners of Darren Turner, Jonny Adam and Charlie Eastwood, David King, chairman of Aston Martin Racing, and John Gaw, managing director.

“When I started driving Aston Martins two years ago, my goal was always to establish a long-term relationship with the manufacturer,” recalls Valentin Hasse-Clot. “I am proud to officially join the prestigious Aston Martin Racing family, but I do not forget my short-term goals – to continue to evolve technically off-track and on-track in new competitions like the Asian Le Mans Series! »

The Frenchman will indeed compete in the Asian series with Garage 59 in GT3 in February.
