Whelen – Garcia and Kumpen win at Hockenheim

During the first race, borja garcia (Ford Mustang) ran the perfect race by leading all the laps despite the onslaughts ofAnthony Kumpen (Chevrolet) during the second part of the race.

The accident of Dominik Farnbacher (Chevrolet) a few laps from the checkered flag did not prevent Garcia from keeping the advantage over the Belgian before a red flag due to the collision between Carlo Alberto Forte (Toyota) and Eric De Doncker (Ford Mustang) ending the race prematurely.

« I am very happy to win my 4e victory of the season, said the Spaniard on the podium, and it's really great that this is the very first for the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series at Hockenheim ! "

During the second round, Anthony Kumpen won over Alon Day (Chevrolet) who started from pole position. Behind them, Frederic Gabillon (Ford Mustang) signed his second 3e place of the weekend while Borja Garcia had to be satisfied with a 6e instead.

« What a fantastic race! exclaims the Belgian after Victory Lane. My great PK Carsport team has once again given me a fantastic car."

With this third success of the season and this tenth career success, Kumpen equals Gabillon in the number of victories for an active driver in Whelen. With eight points ahead of his runner-up, Borja Garcia finished the regular season at the top of the scoreboard ahead of Kumpen and Alon Day.
