The Brands Hatch track (Great Britain) kicks off the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe (formerly Sprint Cup) season. This Sunday, May 5, two races are on the program; departures will be given at 12:50 p.m. and 17 p.m. French time.
For Race 1, Maro Engel and Luca Stolz (Mercedes) will start from pole position. Alongside them will be the Lamborghini of Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart, who will however have to start from the back of the grid in Race 2 following an accident during practice.
Race 2 will offer an original starting grid with a Silver crew in the lead, that made up of Fabian Schiller and Timur Boguslavskiy (Mercedes). In both events, the best French chances will rest with Thomas Neubauer (Mercedes, 3rd and 5th). Note the package of Stéphane Ortelli and Nyls Stievenart; the chassis of their Audi R8 LMS was damaged in a crash with Christopher Mies' Audi.
