WTCC-C2: First victory for Catsburg

Two races and two doubles for the Lada Sport Rosneft on his grounds at Moscow Raceway. After Gabriele Tarquini's victory in the opening race this morning, Nicky catsburg brilliantly converted his pole position obtained yesterday in qualifying to achieve his first WTCC success.

After a good start, Catsburg maintained the advantage throughout the race over Tarquini, who secured the double for Lada. Third on the grid, Hugo Valente was unable to resist the Honda Civics on the drying Moscow track (including when the rain returned), and finally finished in 7th place.

Norbert MIchelisz, Rob Huff and Tiago Monteiro finished behind the two leading Ladas followed by the Chevrolet Cruze of James Thompson. José Maria Lopez places the first Citroën C-Elysée in eighth place, while Yvan Muller finishes just outside the top 10 behind Moroccan Mehdi Bennani.
