WTCC – Darryl O?Young with Tom Coronel

After a year in 2012 which saw Tom Coronel take fifth place in the drivers' championship, despite the presence of the official Chevrolet and Honda cars, Roal Motorsport is starting again in 2013 with upward objectives. Roberto Ravaglia, Roal Motorsport team principal, takes stock of the team's objectives: “We are really very confident for this new season. Tom is part of the family and we are very happy to welcome Darryl to the stable. They are both experienced drivers, and have proven themselves capable of fighting for the best positions in the WTCC. With them, we can hope for important results: Tom has the potential to fight in the top 3 in the Drivers' championship, and Darryl can win the independent trophy. »

For his part, Coronel, who wants to become the first independent to win the WTCC title, sees the arrival of Darryl O'Young very favorably: “I've known Darryl for a while. He is one of the best drivers, and has very good experience, not only in WTCC, but also in GT. I think this arrival will make the team more competitive. There will be no instructions between us, because we have different objectives. For Darryl, this season will mainly consist of winning the independent trophy. »
