WTCC – Will Muller continue his momentum in Slovakia?

A four-time world champion in the discipline (2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013) does not admit defeat easily. Let those who prematurely buried Yvan Muller take it for granted. In Russia, the Alsatian, victorious in race 1, his third success of the year, then sixth in the second confrontation, took back no less than sixteen points from Pechito Lopez, his teammate rival at Citroën Racing. And the Frenchman intends to continue the same dynamic in Slovakia.

“From the Hungaroring, in Hungary, explains the pilot of the C-Elysée TC1, I have the feeling that the work done is paying off. I changed a lot of details, in my preparation, in my settings and in my driving. The combination of these factors allows me to perform better, both in qualifying and in the race. The season is still long, since we are not yet halfway through. I'm not going to give up! The Slovakia Ring has some similarities with the Hungaroring and Moscow Raceway, two circuits where I was comfortable. So I'm pretty confident. »

Suffice to say that the match with José-Maria Lopez, the reigning world champion, once again promises to be lively. Especially since Sébastien Loeb will also be keen to redeem himself after the black meeting known in Russia.
