WTCC – Yvan Muller studies his options for 2014

At 43, Yvan Muller is on track to win a 4th WTCC world championship title. As the second half of the season began during the Porto round, last weekend, the driver of the Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T from the RML team has a 122-point lead over his first pursuer. But its future remains uncertain. One of the possibilities available to him for next year is the track Citroën, which officially announced its arrival in this championship last week. “Like everyone else, I am in negotiations with Citroën, but it has already been two years, recognizes Muller interviewed by TouringCarTimes. Now, Loeb is going to start racing in the WTCC, and I am partly responsible for that: I gave him the opportunity to drive and test my car to see how he felt! ».

?For next year, I would like a factory steering wheel, that's for sure, but an official steering wheel must be discussed beforehand, continues the Frenchman. Without this, there won't be enough time to design and build the car. » However, Muller does not consider Citroën as his only option for 2014. “There is Honda, and there is another manufacturer who are still on the list… I could also try another championship, I am thinking GT or rallycross. With my experience in ice racing and touring cars, it could be something fun."he concludes.
