Yvan Muller will have benefited greatly from the racing circumstances this weekend to take the lead in the World Touring Car Championship. But, if the SEAT drivers lost a lot due to late punctures, the Frenchman highlights good technical choices to explain his success on the very fast Italian circuit.

"JWe didn't expect that but we paid close attention to our tires because we know that this circuit is tough on the left front tire., says the 2008 World Champion. We have changed the settings to allow better tire protection. It's a good start to this season. To be leader after three meetings is fantastic. Everyone thought that ?diesel? (the SEAT Leon TDI) would be at the top here but we have shown that the ?petrol? can also win on a fast circuit. »
