That the new F1 public doesn't care about the engine brand, I agree... and I even think that they don't care about the car brand either. The important thing today is to take a selfie from the stands, to see a concert and to drink beer. Does F1 allow you to choose an Aston instead of a McLaren? I doubt it. In any case, Alfa Romeo sales have plummeted a little more with each year of presence in F1 over the last period. At the limit, it is probably Red Bull who makes the most profit with a product accessible to the public. What upsets me in this affair is the disappearance of a sector that motivated hundreds of engineers because they wanted to follow JJ. His, B. Dudot, JP. Boudy or D. Chevrier. In any case, it is because this prospect really existed that I enrolled in one of the higher education institutions that fed the French F1 sector and that allowed me to end up in the GPs with the "other French V10" and I met passionate and endearing people there. The other source of concern is that the "F1 ticket" remains an exclusivity inaccessible to the new Asian electric manufacturers... if BYD buys Enstone one day, we will have lost everything.

The end of Renault in F1 was a done deal since spring! Like any good business plan that respects itself, the investors' jackpot takes precedence over the commitment of talented and willing men. Gatherings never serve any purpose and reality is an indisputable example. What a beautiful French waste once again; and a great motivation for those who still have hope.
