There's something new on the menu for the 2025 F4 France season. This is what AUTOhebdo can confirm, around ten days after the official end of the 2024 campaign and the confirmed coronation of Taito Kato after a visit to the FFSA appeal tribunal.
In recent years, seasons have always revolved around a 7-round calendar with 3 races on the program each weekend, of 20 minutes + 1 lap each. From now on, this format will be abandoned, starting next year.
Indeed, from next season, F4 France will be held over a total of 6 meetings and no longer 7. Another change is that there will only be one round abroad compared to two in 2024 (Spa-Francorchamps and Nürburgring).
Still on the agenda, the three races will be extended by 10 minutes for a total of 30 minutes + 1 lap. A change made to meet the new FIA standards which now impose this duration. Thus, in order to keep a cost in line with the mileage, the calendar is shortened to 6 rounds and will be revealed later. In addition, competitors will have 8 new tires at their disposal each weekend instead of 6 until now.
