The outgoing Super Formula champion honored the number 1 written on his car. Tomoki Nojiri (Team Mugen) won the second race of the Super Formula weekend organized on the Mount Fuji circuit this Sunday April 10.

Like a certain Charles Leclerc, winner of the Australian Grand Prix of Formula 1, the Japanese led the event from start to finish. However, the winner of Saturday's race, Ryo Hirakawa (Impul) made life difficult for him during most of the competition. At the finish, the gap is only 1”6 in favor of the 2021 Super GT vice-champion. Ritomo Miyata (TOM'S) completes the podium.

On the podium on Saturday, the Franco-Argentinian Sacha Fenestraz (Kondo Racing) fell to 19th following a spin while navigating in the top 5. His compatriot Giuliano Alesi (TOM'S) took over the role of best French representative with an eighth final place, ahead Kamui Kobayashi (KCMG).

In the championship, Tomoki Nojiri takes the lead with 38 points, ahead of Ryo Hirakawa (36 pts) and Ritomo Miyata (19 pts).
