Tomoki Nojiri (Team Mugen) is indeed the reference in Super Formula. The 33-year-old pilot, not content with ensuring the title the day before in Race 1 of the final contested in Suzuka (Japan), completed his work by claiming victory in Race 2, this Sunday, October 30.

The Japanese was never worried in an event where he started from pole position. Leading from start to finish, Tomoki Nojiri was not disturbed by the intervention of the Safety Car on two occasions, notably following a collision between the Frenchman Giuliano Alesi (Toyota, 17th) and the Nippon Nobuharu Matsushita (Honda, retirement). He is ahead of Hiroki Otsu (Honda) and Ritomo Miyata (Toyota).
In the championship, Tomoki Nojiri finished with 154 points, ahead of Sacha Fenestraz (Toyota, 89 points) and Ryo Hirakawa (Toyota, 87). The Franco-Argentinian thus secures the honorary rank of vice-champion, at the end of a year which saw him achieve his first victory in the discipline.
Due to his new commitment with Nissan en Formula E for the 2023 season, Sacha Fenestraz should no longer race in Japan, the FE program being incompatible with the Super Formula and Super GT calendars.
