The new format put in place last winter, with fewer meetings, but three races per weekend instead of two, will only last a year. What is your assessment of this?
Sportingly, the format worked very well. We had a championship F3 extremely lively. In F2, the championship is not over, but we had some great battles too and with two rounds remaining, several drivers are in the fight for the title. Either way, no matter the format, it's always the best driver who wins in the end. Economically, it also worked. Having fewer events has resulted in fewer logistical costs for the teams. On these two points of view, we are satisfied. The only problem encountered is the excessive spacing between rounds, mainly in F2 with a very stretched and sparse calendar, which is not good for the teams, the fans, or the drivers. it's not the race itself that's expensive but all the fluff that covers this whole system where you have to shine to please the Very Incompetent people, I knew a very good time when we took the car to a plateau towed by the car or van of a whole group of mechanic friends and in the closed park it smelled good of Merguez sausages, it all didn't cost very much and everyone was satisfied with it, nothing to do with what the 'we see today, I add for the grumpy ones that I am 71 years old and that I experienced a great era of car racing that I do not regret and wish them to do better if they can but it is gone wrong
