Christian Lundgaard climbs into F2 with ART GP

Christian Lundgaard will compete in the 2020 season F2 by continuing to evolve at ART Grand Prix. The 18-year-old Dane will find the vice-champion of the F3 Marcus Armstrong already confirmed by remaining integrated into the program of the Renault Sports Academy.

“It will be a big challenge to tackle F2 with ART, recognizes Christian Lundgaard. I'm happy to stay with a team I believe in. It will clearly be harder than in 2019 because the races are longer and you will have to manage the pit stops. »

Christian Lundgaard already has a little experience of F2 after taking part in the last meeting of the last season in Abu Dhabi with the Trident team. He subsequently took part in post-season testing with ART GP.

“I was lucky enough to be able to test F2 to know what to expect this year, admits the Dane. I am sure that I will have a successful year because I have the best team behind me. It will be a season where many things will be decided for the rest of my career. I have to do well and prove what I can do behind the wheel. My goal is to win the title! »

Christian Lundgaard finished in 6th place in F3 last year with one victory and two podiums. He previously distinguished himself by winning the Spanish and Russian F4 in 2017.
