In one breath, Luca Ghiotto (Hitech) wins the sprint race

Clearly, these 18-inch tires played a big role this weekend. After rain and shine in the main race on Saturday, the tires once again decided the winner of the sprint race this Sunday. And in this little game, he's the old veteran of the category Luca Ghiotto (Hitech) who did well.

With Giuliano Alesi (HWA Racelab, 10th), the Italian was the only one not to return to the pits. It was fair, but it was enough, since the Hitech driver was 40 seconds ahead of the competition with seven laps to go.

And despite tires in a deplorable state, he in fact resisted the irremediable return of Callum Ilott (UNI-Virtuosi), who only missed a hundred meters to swallow the car victorious of the day.

“This is the most stressful race of my career” said the Italian. Mick Schumacher (Prema Racing), author of its first podium of the season this Saturday, gets a new one this Sunday.

Having started far away due to numerous problems in the main race, the two ART drivers made a good comeback thanks to Marcus Armstrong (9th) and Christian Lundgaard (13th). In difficulty since the start of the weekend, DAMS saw its flagship driver Daniel Ticktum suffer a sudden loss of power while the Briton was struggling in the Top 5.

Note, also, that the championship leader Robert Shwartzman (Prema Racing) achieved an important 4th place, ahead of his compatriot Nikita mazepin (Hitech).
